About Your Teacher
Veranoa Hetet is a nationally recognised Māori weaver, visual artist, and much-loved weaving teacher with more than 35 years experience teaching traditional Māori weaving in person and six years teaching online.
Veranoa is descended from a long line of renowned weavers in the Hetet family including: her mother Erenora Puketapu-Hetet, her great-grandmother Rangimarie Hetet, her great-great-grandmother Te Rongopamamao; and her great-aunt Diggeress Te Kanawa.
If you ask Veranoa what her life is, she'll tell you: "I weave, I breathe!"
